Mfuwe Lodge is located in the game-rich Mfuwe area of the South Luangwa National Park overlooking two waterholes. It is 40 minutes from Mfuwe International Airport.
The open plan central lodge facility incorporates reception, lounge, dining and bar areas, under a thatch roof supported by palm poles and dominated by two impressive chimneys at opposite ends. There is a broad timber deck where the swimming pool is situated overlooking the main lagoon.
The lodge has an outdoor gym, WiFi (in library only), Photographic Studio, curio shop, Library with a private deck and a Bush Spa offering relaxing and healing treatments overlooking the hippo lagoon below. Mfuwe Lodge offers a fully stocked bar.
There are 13 Double/Twin Chalets, 3 Family Chalets and 2 Suite Chalets. Each chalet has its own private deck . The chalets are equipped with en-suite shower, twin wash basins and toilet, international power sockets, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, skin moisturiser), hair dryers, personal safe, mosquito nets, and air conditioners. The suites have a king size bed downstairs with en-suite bathtub and shower. Upstairs there is a sitting area with a daybed and a small bathroom with a toilet and sink. Family chalets have a king size bed upstairs with a daybed downstairs in the sitting area with en-suite shower, twin wash basins, and toilet. Double chalets have a king size bed with a sitting area, en-suite shower, twin wash basins, and toilet. Twin chalets have two three-quarter size beds with a sitting area, en-suite shower, twin wash basins, and toilet.
For guests wanting a more private experience then the new Director's house would be ideal. This private thatched house is a perfect choice for small groups and families. The Director’s House has two bedrooms, both en-suite and is serviced by friendly staff catering to all your needs. The house has its own private swimming pool and outside BBQ area. A stay at the Director’s House includes a Private Guide and Vehicle, who will take you out for game-viewing activities. Guests are welcome to make use of all Mfuwe Lodge facilities, including the library, outdoor gym, Bush-Spa, bar, and curio shop.
